Welcome to Nepal! On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our office will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check in. You will then be briefed about your daily activities.

Nepal – officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is a mystical country nestled in the folds of the magnificent Himalaya mountain ranges. The people of Nepal can always be seen to be smiling.  Nepal is a deeply religious country, as you will see in their temples, Monasteries and buildings. The fertile, mountain-sheltered Kathmandu Valley is the historic heart of Nepal, where the Himalaya’s most sophisticated kingdoms rose and fell and where Nepali art and culture were developed and refined. Overnight at Kathmandu  hotel . No meals

After breakfast at hotel, we will begin drive to Kathmandu and will begin sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Patan Durbar Square.

Kathmandu Durbar Square:  Listed as one of the Seven Cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square is cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The visit of Durbar Square includes  the emple of Living Goddesses, who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence, the Hanuman Dhoka Royal Palace, the historic seat of the Royalty; the magnificent Taleju Temple towering 40 meters. The capital takes its name from the giant pagoda of Kasthamandap, which is said to have been built of a single tree. It has been the main focal point of the city’s social, religious  and political from the Malla kings.

Swayambhunath:  Located approximately 4 km west of Kathmandu, Buddhist stupa this is said to be 2500 years old, The stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagodas temples. It is one of the holiest Buddhist Chaityas in Nepal and oldest of its kind.

Patan Durbar square : 5 km from Kathmandu Patan also known as Lalitpur is the city of fine arts, enclosed withing 4 stupas said to be built in 3rd century AD, by Emperoro Ashoka. The city retains much of the old charm with its narrow streets  brick houses and multitude of well-preserved Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries (vihars) and monuments. Here you will visit the Shikahara style Krishna Temple built by King Siddhi Narshing Malla, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar dating from the 12th century, the three-storied shrine, also known as the Golden Temple. A trip of visiting to molding of metal status  can also be done while visiting Patan.

Drive about 50 min from Kathmandu takes you to trek start point Sundarijal. From Sundarijal, the trail climb through the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve.

Lunch at the local tea houses (Very basic lunch)

The trail continues up a hill through the forest to meet the Mulkharka Village (1894m) with the inhabitants of Tamang people through forest of rhododendron and oaks after pass the Borlang Bhanjyang and downhill to Chisopani (2140m).

Taking breakfast at Chisopani you will set out to hike Nagarkot. Throughout the hike you will head the chirping of birds and natural sound created by nature In Shivapuri National Park. Then, you will take flat walk through the jungle until Jhule post then downhill to Chauki Bhanjyang where you will take lunch and continue the trek to Nagarkot crossing beautiful terraced fields and villages. Meanwhile you will soar up from Kattike Bhanjyang to Nagarkot finally where you can outlook sunset. From Nagarkot offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan Mountains including Mount Everest (8848 m).

Overnight at Hotel in Nagarkot

Waking up early in the morning to capture panoramic sunrise and then taking breakfast you will take downhill to Changu Narayan about 4 hrs (built in 464 AD by famous Lichhavi king Manadev) passing through small Tamang village and Telkot . It is one of the oldest Hindu temple which depict the medieval age. Exploring the nearby places of Changu Narayan you will drive to Bhaktapur .

Pokhara – Pokhara is a remarkable place for natural beauty at an altitude of 827 m above mean sea level & 200 km west of Kathmandu. This city is ever known as a real paradise in Earth. The Valley is filled with swift flowing river and dotted with clear gleaming lakes. It is blessed with the back drop is the most dramatic sceneries in world. A 140km of panoramic Himalayan ranges seem close enough to be touched. But also can be felt. The magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind the lake create an ambience of peace & magic, popular for water rafting, Kayaking and trekking expeditions.

 

At Afternoon: boat ride and Explore lakeside . Preparation of trek . Our Trekking guide will meet to you this evening for briefing about trek and pick up time.

 

The Fewa (or Phewa) Lake 1.5 kilometre long, second largest lake in Nepal, offers an excellent view of the mountains and their reflections on the lake. Many tours and trekking operators and hotels are located on the lakeside. One can easily find a place to sit back, relax and enjoy great meal while enjoying scenery here. You will also enjoy 01 hrs boating on the lake. Most hotels and guest houses have traditional designs and layouts which match with the surrounding views.

The first day of the Poonhill trek begins early morning in Pokhara with a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, it’s time to travel from Pokhara to Birethanti by vehicle. The trek to Poon Hill only begins once you reach Birethanti after short drive from Nayapul. After reaching Tikhedhunga, you will take a quick break, have lunch, and begin your trek to Ulleri. After 5-6 hours of trekking from Birethanti, you will reach Ulleri to stay overnight.

Total Distance – 10 km approx..

Altitude- 2860 m

Difficulty level- moderate

 

The next day, the trek starts from Ulleri and goes to Ghorepani. The distance is about 8 km, and reaching there takes about 5 to 6 hours. You will begin to pass through different villages like Banthati, where you will get the first glimpse of the massive Annapurna Massiff. The majestic views of the mountains, like Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and South, Fishtail, and other mountains are visible. You will pass through another small village in Nangethanti before reaching the beautiful hill station of Ghorepani.

After early breakfast, an excursion to Poon Hill (3210 m.) can be organised for those with a spirit of adventure. Poon Hill is the spot to view the majestic panorama of the Himalayas. A close up view of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna   Massif including Machhapuchare the sacred Mountain await for you at Poon Hill. The uphill hike to Poon Hill and back is approximately two and half-hours.

 

The trail from Ghorepani to Tadapani goes through thick pine and rhododendron forest with occasional ascends and descends. We stay tonight in lodge near the small village of Tadapani.

Difficulty level- moderate

 

After Breakfast, we will walk along a shaded forest trail, followed by terraced fields of maize and potatoes to Ghandruk. From here we have fantastic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare. It is a major settlement of the Gurung, an ethnic group of Nepal. It is a very famous Gurung village with terraces and offers excellent mountain views. After arriving, it is possible to take a short walk to explore the village, visiting a cultural museum and monastery.

After breakfast, the trail descends down to SEULI BAZAR for about two hours and then an easy walk for about 04 -05 hours to reach Nayapul via Birethanti (Pokhara-Baglung highway). From here, drive back to Pokhara hotel .

Afternoon visit  Davis Fall, Gupteshwar Cave, Tibetan village , boat ride on Phewa Lake and peace pagoda.

 

Davis fall’s: Witness a unique waterfall that lies 2 Km from central Pokhara City. The water fall directly goes into a deep and narrow canal with no ends. It is believed that this deadly waterfall took the life of a tourist named David, who fell down into the cannel and was never found, and hence the name David waterfall, named in his memory by the people of Pokhara. This place has many nick names like Davy’s fall, David’s fall or Davis’s fall, all mean the same thing `The Davis Water Fall’.

 

Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave: Gupteshwar Mahadev cave is one of the longest caves in Nepal. On the way to cave, there are shining stones seen everywhere and in the temple is big stone that looks like snake’s head and tortoise which is consider as the image of the lord Shiva. Second part is very beautiful and you see shining stones and different types of rocks like bee hives.

 

Tibetan Village – since 1959, a group of Tibetan refugees have been living in Nepal. One such is Tashiling Tibetan Refugee Settlement at Chhorepatan, which is located near two popular sightseeing sites i.e., Devi’s Fall and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.

World Peace Pagoda – it is a massive Buddhist stupa located on a hill top (Rani Ban) just behind Phewa Lake. This stupa is symbol of peace where the huge idols of Lord Buddha from Japan, Srilanka and Thailand have been installed. From here one can enjoys the breathtaking views of Himalayan Ranges, lakes and the city.
